97 ranger 2.3. cam cover has more than one mark to set when changing timing belt. Is there one for each piston?

there are two marks on the pulley at 90 deg. one is valve open and one is closed. I want closed correct?
Yes you want closes on #1 cylinder TDC Compression stroke.
