I HAVE 1993 FORD F150 SUPER CAB, DUAL TANKS. AND HAVE CHANGED FUEL RELAY, FUEL PUMPS, INERTIA SWITCH, FUSES AND IT STILL WILL NOT CRANK. IT ACTS LIKE IT IS GETTING NO FUEL. HELP!!!!
HiCustomer
Thank you for asking your question on JustAnswer.
If you are sure its a fuel pump issue then lets start here, The fuel pump relay is ground switched to turn on by the PCM (computer)
At the inertia switch, make sure there is power on both sides when the key is cycled on. If there is power on the Dark Green/Yellow (DG/Y) wire, but not on the Red/Yellow (R/Y) wire, replace the inertia switch.
If there is power on the R/Y wire, but not at the pump, repair the open in the circuit.
If there is no power on the DG/Y wire, check for power at the fuel pump relay on the Yellow (Y) wire and the Red (R) wire.
If the power feeds to the relay are good, ground the Light Blue/Orange (LB/O) wire and check for 12 volts on the DG/Y wire. If there is no power on the DG/Y wire, replace the relay. If there is, repair the open in the DG/Y wire between the relay and the inertia switch.
I am enclosing the wiring diagram. Start with checking power at the inertia switch key on and key on engine cranking.
