Thanks for visiting Just Answer. I will do my very best to help you resolve your concerns.

Is the theft light flashing fast while trying to start?

Does this occur with both keys?

What started this concern?

I did not try my wife's key. I just replaced the battery, It was disconnected for about 6 hrs.

Try this.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable for 10 minutes.
  2. Now hook it back up
  3. Now unlock and lock the door with the remote and then with the key
  4. Now try to start it with one key and then the other.
  5. If it fails then it has some kind of aftermarket system or the keys have lost there program for some unknown reason.
  6. If this is the case then a dealer IDS scan tool is needed for reprogramming.

Make sure there is no out of place little red light any where below the steering wheel or a module behind the panel below the steering wheel.
