2000 FORD FOCUS.... FAN BLOWER SWITCH IS NOT WORKING. HOW TO REMOVE DASH PLATE TO GET TO THE SWITCH?

  • Using the special tools, detach the audio unit.
    1. Insert the special tools into the locating holes. Pull the tools gently to the left and right of the audio unit to release the locking tangs.
    1. Slide the audio unit out of the instrument panel.

    Climate Control Assembly

     

    Removal

    1. Remove the audio unit.
    1. Remove the instrument panel console bezel retaining screws.

  • Pull the instrument panel console bezel forwards and disconnect the electrical connectors.

  • Detach the temperature and air distribution blend door bowden cables from the climate control assembly.

  • Remove the climate control assembly.

    1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    WHERE DO I GET THE SPECIAL TOOL AND WHAT DO I ASK FOR?

    Customer You can purchase it at a local parts store. Ask for the Ford radio removal tool. Show them the diagram I sent you.
