HiCustomer here are the replacement directions, this is the easiest way to replace it without disassembling the top of the engine, hope this helps.

CERTAIN 2003 MODEL YEAR F-250/350/450/550 SUPER DUTY AND EXCURSION VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 6.0L DIESEL ENGINES - INJECTION CONTROL PRESSURE (ICP) SENSOR REPLACEMENT

ICP SENSOR REPLACEMENT

NOTE: The ICP sensor is located at the top of the engine and is accessible from below once the turbocharger heat shield is removed. Due to space limitations, a deep flare nut crowfoot wrench is recommended for sensor removal and installation. This procedure is consistent with the workshop manual revision due for release during the week of April 14, 2003.

  1. Remove the transmission fluid level indicator.
  2. Remove the transmission fluid fill tube retaining nut. Disengage the fill tube from the stub tube and position it aside.
  3. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
  4. Remove the turbocharger heat shield. See Figure 1.

  5. Disconnect the ICP sensor. See Figure 2.

  6. Using a 1-1/16 inch 12 pt. deep flare nut crowfoot wrench, such as a Snap-On® AN850817B, GAN850817B or equivalent, remove the ICP sensor.
  7. Verify the new ICP sensor O-ring is in place, then install the sensor. Tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
  8. Connect the ICP electrical connector.
  9. Install the turbocharger heat shield. Tighten the left side bolt to 46 Nm (36 lb-ft) and the center and right side bolts to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).
  10. Partially lower the hoist. Working from outside the right wheel well area, engage the transmission fluid fill tube to the stub tube.
  11. Lower the hoist.
  12. Install the transmission fluid fill tube retainer nut. Tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
  13. Install the transmission fluid level indicator.
