Here is what you will need to do:
1) Remove the ignition cylinder, steering column shroud, PATS transceiver ring (black ring at end of ignition cylinder casting on column).
2) Remove the chip from a key and tape it to the transceiver, then tie strap transceiver to wiring under steering column out of the way of everything.
Since the keys are already programmed, you can start the vehicle without having a programmed key. Just realize that this makes it easier for the vehicle to be stolen, okay?
The PATS system cannot be disabled in any way. It is built into the engine control computer and the instrument cluster.
