2005 Ford Freestar: abs light..brake light came on..stopping

I have a 2005 Ford Freestar minivan and the ABS light just came on and then shortly after the brake light came on. The brakes are still stopping good. There is no brake noise, pedel is firm (not soft or hard). What could be the issue?

Normally both indicators will come on when a concern is present. The first stpe is verifying correct brake fluid level. Then its time to get a scan tool on it to pull codes. There are about 15 possible ABS codes rangeing from power and ground supply to wheel speed sensors and ABS ECU and HCU concerns.
