Year,2000- 4door crown vic-Miles 27,500-police engine. Tried nothing, got in car today light was on. Auto Zone code said probable cause Defective range sensor or open or short circuit condition.

The codes P0705 and P0708 in 99 percent of the time is due to a bad TR sensor. Replacing it in most case willl correct your concern.
