2001 Ford Escape: new gaskets to repair vacuum leaks

Resolved Question:

My 2001 Ford Escape needs new gaskets to repair vacuum leaks. The dealer wants 650+ to do this work, of which about 150 is parts. Is this a fair charge for labor?

Hello and welcome to justanswer.com

The book time labor to replace the upper and lower intake gaskets is about 2.5 hours labor. The $650.00 does seem slightly high unless they included some diagnostic time and maybe a fuel system service.
