2002 Ford Explorer: a heavy gas smell and there appears to be a leak

Resolved Question:

My 2002 Ford Explorer has a heavy gas smell and there appears to be a leak at the right mid front of it.

Is the leak at the right mid front of the engine or the vehicle? If it is the vehicle could you better describe where the leak is?
Customer: replied 8 years ago.
Its just about 12 or so inches inside from the right tire(if you are sitting in the car). It looks like there is a accordian style thing that is covered in the liquid so the leak is coming from above that.

The liquid has no smell to it. Just oily/greasy.

That liquid is most like not gas it is most likely power steering fluid, if the gas smell is really strong in the vehicle it is most likely in the front of the vehicle like on the engine. It is a common problem to have a injector leak and case this problem but that would need to be looked at by someone who can actually visually inspect the vehicle.
