Although any type of coolant can be used, the vehicle came with a yellow, extended life coolant that should be good for 5 years. In order to maintain this long life, it cannot be contaminated with any green coolant. They make other extended life coolants that are compatable with it but may change the color

If it does get mixed with green coolant, then it will only be a 2 year coolant from that time on.
