Here is the procedure to replace the alternator.

 

REMOVAL

  1. Disconnect the battery.
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
  3. Remove the drive belt.

  • Remove the nut and disconnect the electrical connectors.
  •

  • Remove the wiring harness-to-generator pin-type retainer.
  •

    1. Remove the stud bolt, the bolts and remove the generator.

    INSTALLATION

    1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    1. Remove the accessory drive belt.

    1Rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner counterclockwise.
    2Remove the belt.

    I don't get the installation procedure, there are three 1's

    Sorry about the confusion. The belt instructions endedup at the end. They should have been at the begining. SO first remove the belt then floow the removal procedure.
