Customer Question

I have a Ford 460 D1VE 6015-A2B and I am trying to find the correct hardware to mount it to my engine stand. I am having difficulty determining the thread on the bolt holes where the transmission mounts. Can you tell me what the thread is??

Have you tried the trans bolts? They should be long enough. For 1981 you are in the metric zone.

I don't have the trans bolts, I want to know what the thread is so I can purchase from the hardware store. What is the thread??
Expert:  Steve replied 8 years ago.
I was wrong! The 460 still used SAE threads in 1981. My book says that the trans bolts are 7/16-14 x 1 3/4in. Sorry about that.
