2005 Ford Explorer xlt: message center..change oil..it read oil change

Customer Question

I Have a 2005 Ford Explorer xlt the message center said that i needed an oil change. I took it to a place to get it done but the message center still reads change oil soon. before it read oil change is required. I called the company back to ask if maybe they didn''t put enough oil in my truck. They told me that they filled it up. could it be broken or could it be another problem?

Customer From your descritption it sounds like a very simple issue and that they did not reset your oil reminder. You will find the procedure to reset it in your owners manual. I hope this helps, if not let me know, Al

Reply to AlvinC's Post: I guess I forgot to mention I lost my manual. I was told however to turn the key, but not turn the vehicle on, and press the trip reset button, I heard a beep while doing this, but it still says, "low oil pressure, change oil soon". It hasn't reseted yet.
