2001 ford focus: headlights..pulling the fog light switch..dim..relay

Resolved Question:

my 2001 ford focus headlights are stuck on bright. pulling the fog light switch out does not dim them or turn on the fog lights. Is this a relay problem and where is it. I''m assuming a relay is much cheaper than a new switch.

sounds like you might have a high beam relay stuck on or a multifunction switch problem.

the high beam relay is located in the battery junction box, it is relay #37.

if swapping out the relay doesn't fix the problem, then i would try disconnecting the connector on the back of the multifunction switch.
