how to disarm a 2002 ford focus alarm

Customer Question

I didnt know my car had an alarm until I put a new battery in my car and when I would hit or bump the car and alarm started going off, and a blue light blinks in my dash, and even when I use my key it goes off and my car wont crank. I called the place I got the car from acted like they didnt know it had one. I need to know how to disarm it cause i need my car, no dealership can help me cause my car wont crank so i can bring it to them.

hi

look under the dash for the car alarm module, this will tell you what brand it is,

look for a "valet" switch, this is usually hidden under the dash on the drivers side, with most systems if the key is in the ignition and in the run position, you push the button to turn valet on and off

let me know if this helped and if you need any more info

please send feed back so we can serve you better, positive feedback is always appreciated

hi

if the car is equiped with factory alarm, you should be able to turn it off by

-pressing the unlock button on the fob

-turning the drivers lock cylinder to the unlock position

let me know if this helped and if you need any more info
