Is it turning on the check engine light?

did this just occur or did you just buy it?

When you rev in neutral or park does it get up to 3k fast but stops and levels off there?

Does it downshift when going up hills?

Customer: replied 9 years ago.

Hello I'm Chris a Ford Employee and Certified Engine/Transmission Specialist.

Thanks for asking your question. I am eager to get your vehicle back up and running correct, I am here to help you out for a small fee far less than a dealership and easier on the wallet, so if this information is of aid PLEASE PRESS ACCEPT and help me out financially by paying the small fee. Please reply if further discussion is needed.

All newer vehicles like yours have rev limiters so in neutral and park the reason you cant get over 3k is because of the rev limiter. Now it should not come into effect while driving. So there is a possibilty of a PCM concern which is not letting the engine over 3k in drive. Another possible concern is low fuel pressure at hwy speeds. I recommend you monitor the fuel pressure to see if it drastically drops during acceleration or up hills.

how do I monitor fuel pressure???
Expert:  Chris (aka- Moose) replied 9 years ago.
You have to hook an actual fuel pressure gauge up to the fuel rail
