1993 Ford: Replaced distributor cap..is fuel injected..liter..pulling

Customer Question

Replaced distributor cap on 1993 Ford F150.The engine is fuel injected and on top of the motor is stamped 5.0 which i assume is 5.0 liter. I double checked the firing order by pulling all the plugs and marking firing on the distributor , this check indicated a firing order of 1 5 4 2 6 3 7 8. I plugged number 1 wire on cap where #1 ism stamped in cap. I checked and I am sure I am getting fuel to cylinders, I checked and I am getting fire to the plugs. Problem is the motor will not start, it tries to fire but just will not start. Do you have any suggestions? Thonks Tom
