Fist thing to do is make sure you have battery voltage at the yellow and white wire thick wire) at the alternator , if not correct connection between battery and alternator.

If you do have battery voltage disconnect the regulator and using a heavy wire or cotter pin jumper the F and A terminals of the wire harness together alternator should begin charging if not check for battery voltage at the A wire and make sure the F wire has continuity to the F terminal on the alternator, If the wires are good and the alternator does not charge you got a bad alternator from the parts store.
