Just had a brand new transmission put in our 2000 Lincoln

Customer Question

Just had a brand new transmission put in our 2000 Lincoln Continental. It was stalling and would lurch if you reached 60 miles an hour. I called the Dealership they said the 02 sensor needed to be replaced and we could do that at home or it would be $400.00 at the Dealership. We had already spent $3900.00 at the dealership so we decided to replace the sensor ourselves. My brother purchased the sensor and jacked the car up to discover that the 02 sensor wasn't plugged in, he plugged it in and put the car down, now it won't start and their is a message to check the traction control?
JA: Is the check engine light on? Does the car stall at idle or when driving?
Customer: Yes the engine light is on and the car was stalling.
JA: Are you fixing your Continental yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: We raised it with a jack and discovered that the 02 sensor wasn't connected. My brother connected it and set the car down, now it won't start and the menu says check traction control.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no.

SO EVEN WITH IT DISCONNECTED, IT STILL WONT START? DOES THE STARTER TURN OVER, BUT IT WONT RUN, OR DOES THE STARTER NOT EVEN TURN?
