My 2006 Lincoln Town Car rear air suspension drops down when

Customer Question

My 2006 Lincoln Town Car rear air suspension drops down when I park it over night. When I get in and turn ignition on it raises (air compresser kicks on). I can drive it several miles 50-75 (more or less) and it stays level for several hours. Can't hear no leaking air coming from rear air suspension.
JA: How has the ride been lately? Have you noticed any fluid under the car?
Customer: Ride has been find - no fluids.
JA: Are you fixing your Town Car yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: It's beyond my capability. I'd go to my local mechanic but he suggests swapping out with a conversion kit using regular shocks/struts.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I'm just curious if it might be a relay, fuse or the compressor - hate to go to dealership and spend a gold nugget for a diagnoses.

Ok
Expert:  rpmdiag replied 4 months ago.

You will never hear a very small leak but it is there. You can find it easily by attaching a smoke machine to the air system. It can't be a relay either, because it does work.

Thanks, Ron

Ok. So it wouldn't be a relay or fuse. What's your opinion about doing a conversion kit.
Expert:  rpmdiag replied 4 months ago.

It's not electrical if the pump comes on.

Leave it stock, you'll just create more problems by converting it.

Thanks again and please remember to rate me 5 stars and keep this link in case you need me again later on.

Ok. Any idea an estimate on repairs.
Expert:  rpmdiag replied 4 months ago.

Less than $200.00 for a leak, they can fix those without having to replace many parts.
