check the ball joints. see if there are grease fittings in them and if there are, grease them if there are no fittings, jack up the car and turn side to side and see if you hear the noise
you have one.
replacement ball joints have fittings and I have no idea if yours have been done
ok, then I still suspect a steering component causing this from leack of grease.
how do you know it is not steering related???
can you attempt to grease the ball joints with a needle on a grease gun? its usually ball joint squeak on these
usually the squeaks are the lower but these cars and the crown vics are just notorious for ball joint failures and ball joint squeaks...i have never seen the sway bar links squeak
