2003 Lincoln Aviator - clicking noise coming from then

Customer Question

2003 Lincoln Aviator - clicking noise coming from then drivers side rear near the wheel well, when the car is on.

The clicking noise is caused by one of the rear AC mode door actuators in the drivers side rear of the vehicle. They are electronic actuators made of plastic and when the gears in the motor strip out, they click wen power is sent to them like a watch/clock. You will need to remove the left rear inside trim panel and see what actuator is clicking by unplugging them one at a time. There is a mode door actuator and a temperature blend door actuator.

What do you mean the switch? Was it behind the left rear inside trim panel?

the round looking connector in the left rear panel. What device needs replacing?

The actuator you unplugged that stopped the noise will need to be replaced.
