JA: Do the vents feel cold? Is there a coolant leak?
Customer: yea the air is cold and no coolant leak
JA: What is the model/year of your Lincoln?
Customer: 1999 lincoln town car
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: i took off the air controll unit and felt that i had pressure coming from the black vaccum hose
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: so i know i dont have a vaccum leak i ran the black vaccum line to the blue vaccum line to see if it would open the dash vents but nothing happened

Hello, if it is blowing out the defrost vents only and you have a vacuum supply at the climate control panel, then the issue is with the climate control head. They are expensive if still available. A better option would be to see if a shop in your area will rebuild the control panel.What happens is inside the control panel there are small orings on the control valves inside that go bad, the seals are replaced and will restore the vent operation
