Hi my name is ***** ***** the check engine light flashes, it means there is a missfire in on of the cylinders, and this is usually caused by a bad coil on one of the cylinders, the computer will set code identifying which cylinder is missfiring, have you had the codes pulled from the computer yet?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
P0306 however #6 coil, plug & fuel injector test good!!
Expert:  Tim Mohr replied 1 year ago.

Have you checked compression on that cylinder yet?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No !'
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I replaced the coils & plugs in both # ***** & 6 # ***** had a cracked plug!! It seems much better & check engine lite has not come on again however it still seems to idle rough!!

What to do next?
Expert:  Tim Mohr replied 1 year ago.

SO THE 6 PLUG WAS CRACKED? AND NOW IT RUNS BETTER, BIT STILL A LITTLE ROUGH?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
However still can't run over 40 without car shaking!
Expert:  Tim Mohr replied 1 year ago.

do you have a scanner to scan for codes, and check missfire data?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I gave that code to you earlier !!
Expert:  Tim Mohr replied 1 year ago.

are they still coming back, after replacing the coil

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Expert:  Tim Mohr replied 1 year ago.

and only the P0306?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
0306 & 0305 latest! Was only 0306.
Expert:  Tim Mohr replied 1 year ago.

then we definately need to chek the compression in those 2 cylinders, can you do that?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No !
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Car in shop now!
Expert:  Tim Mohr replied 1 year ago.

you have already done the coils and plugs, so this just leaves compression, or a bad injector, have you swapped the injectors with another cylinder and seen if the missfire moves?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Not injectors swapped them.
Suspect bad PCM module.
Expert:  Tim Mohr replied 1 year ago.

if it were the PCM, you would not get a injector pulse or coil pulse on those cylinders, did they put a noid light on the injector harnes and on the coil connector to see if they flash?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Don't know !
However that sounds like it should have been the first thing that was suggested!
Expert:  Tim Mohr replied 1 year ago.

are you working n this? or is a shop working on it?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I was working on this before I had to have it towed to the shop because this was taking to long to diagnose the problem! Still have not got & answer as to what it is yet!!
