Lincoln Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hi my name is ***** ***** the check engine light flashes, it means there is a missfire in on of the cylinders, and this is usually caused by a bad coil on one of the cylinders, the computer will set code identifying which cylinder is missfiring, have you had the codes pulled from the computer yet?
Have you checked compression on that cylinder yet?
SO THE 6 PLUG WAS CRACKED? AND NOW IT RUNS BETTER, BIT STILL A LITTLE ROUGH?
do you have a scanner to scan for codes, and check missfire data?
are they still coming back, after replacing the coil
and only the P0306?
then we definately need to chek the compression in those 2 cylinders, can you do that?
you have already done the coils and plugs, so this just leaves compression, or a bad injector, have you swapped the injectors with another cylinder and seen if the missfire moves?
if it were the PCM, you would not get a injector pulse or coil pulse on those cylinders, did they put a noid light on the injector harnes and on the coil connector to see if they flash?
are you working n this? or is a shop working on it?
I cant help yu if the vehicle is not there, I will opt out and see if another expert can help,Tim
