Lincoln Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hello, was there anything in particular that happened r did it just start? Do you have a spare key to try?
If both keys make the theft light flash ffast I would suspect you have a failing PCM power relay. If you have your owners manual and look up the fuses. Under the hood you should see the PCM power relay. You can replace it with one like the blower motor relay and see if this allows the vehicle to start.
There isn't a way to actually reset the pats. When you turn the ignition switch on the pats interface reads the code programmed in the key. If the PCM power relay is bad it won't let the key get read and result in a rapid flashing light. For both keys not to work it isn't going to be the keys unless they haven't been programmed. Ford IDS scan tool is what you need to reset PATS or the anti theft.
If you match the PCM relay to any other relay the same size it will work.
