relay was changed and clicks "on/off" with working hazard lights but it only clicks once when turn signal arm put down or up (also new turn signal unit from Amazon is being used)

interesting...does NOT make relay click with old switch

You may have gotten a bad switch from Amazon. Below is a pin point test and the wiring diagram that you can follow to make sure. But I never trust internet parts. Most are made in China or Taiwan. But look over the test and see what you get.
