I have another problem if you can help me, i shipped my 2005 Lincoln Navigator from New York to Ghana and now the power steering is not working, it worked perfectly fine before shipping. I have checked the fluid and it's ok, i can't hear any noise if i turn the steer but it's awfully difficult almost impossible to turn it either direction, what could be the problem. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I’m Chris. Welcome and thanks for asking your question!
Does your Navigator have air suspension and if so is the switch turned off or on?
Hi Chris, the air suspension switch is on, and there's a squeak whenever the air condition motor comes on.
Thanks for the reply.
You need to have the vehicle scanned for codes stored in the air suspension module because a concern with this module can result in lower power steering assist. if there are no codes then you need to check for contaminated fluid. If it is contaminated then you need to flush the fluid out and replace it to see if it improves. If the fluid is fine then see if higher rpms improve the assist. If it does then replace the pump. If it does not then see if the assist changes when turning left or right. If it is not equal assist, then you need a new steering gear. If the assist is the same (none), then you need to try and turn the steering wheel, if you get no rpm change, then you need to replace the pump.
If you are planning to do these repairs and need help, let me know.

could the power steering problem be related to the air condition motor since they are linked with the belt. Could it be that the belt has come loss and is causing the power streering to fail and the AC to squeak?
Thanks for the reply. In the event the belt has come off the vehicle would overheat in about 10 minutes of runtime and the battery light would be on. The AC and power steering would also not work. The 2 concerns you have a separate.
Well the belt hasn't come off because i've checked, but can it become loose?
Thanks for the reply Derek.
This serpentine belt has a spring tension tensioner that keeps the belt tight. If it is worn out the belt will slip and cause all the accessories to squeal and run slower than the engine. Grab the belt and tug on it to see if it is loose.
i can't really tell if it's loose or tight but it certainly doesn't feel awfully loose. It appears the power steering is a little better now than a couple of days ago, but the periodic squeak is still present.
On the power steering it may just had a air pocket in the oil and has since worked itself out. You need to use a listening device like a stick stethoscope to find the origin of the leak to see if it is a pulley bearing or just some debris on the belt that needs to be cleaned off.
