will the engine start normally if you hold the throttle pedal open part way? Did it shut off fine and have issues on a restart or was it having problems before? Was the check engine light on prior to the concern? Has the fuel filter been changed?
yes that makes sense about the fuel filter because cant remember changing it. I will try that and let u know.
ok if its not getting fuel or the filter is restricted it can cause low fuel pressure. If it starts with part throttle you have a sticking idle air control valve, if it starts with spraying some carb cleaner into the intake and the filter is ok you most likely have a weak fuel pump and need to check for fuel pressure at the rail. It has an inertia switch in the trunk that can pop like a circuit breaker and be reset, it kills power supply to the fuel pump if the car hits a bump hard or in an accident.

I replaced the fuel filter and the car is still hard to start. I turn it over few times then pause then turn it over and it starts right up. Tried the carb cleaner in a vacuum line in the intake and it didnt seem to matter. What do you think?
HDGene replaced the fuel filter and it still starts hard. When I spin it few times then hit starter again it usually starts fairly fast the second time. Tried squirt of carb cleaner in the intake and didn`t notice any difference.
Hello sorry this question was lost in my list. Are you still having problems and need further assistance?
