I have a 1992 Lincoln Towncar with 58,000 miles. The code light on the dash is blinking code 6. The car has been in the dealership repair shop for 8 months. I understand from them the airgbag system is a crossover between 1991-1992 systems. They continue to try to solve the problem and/or locate parts to no avail. Any suggestions would be welcome.

yes I would appreciate your continued search for an answer to my question...we feel perhaps you can come up with the proper diagnosis for our car...we are told the suspected part is not available & used ones don't seem to work...supposedly several modules have even been rebuilt & still to no avail...perhaps something else is shorting them out even? several times the problem has seemed to be solved momentarily but always returns within hours (code light blinking)
