What is the firing order for a 1999 lincoln town car with a 4.6 liter engine. How do you know which cylinder is which ie. location of number 2 cylinder?

Model: town car
Engine: 4.6L

Already Tried:
changing the plugs but need to know where cylinder No. 2 is located as that is the one the computer indicates that is mis-firing. Thanks,\. Neil

Cylinder 2 is on the passenger side of the motor, The second one from the front of the meteor. The cylinders go 1,2,3 and 4 front to back on the passenger side and 5,6,7 and 8 on the drivers side front to back. More than likely you have a bad ignition coil causing the misfire.
