The bad part about this concern is I really need the diagnostic codes you have stored to aid in figuring this out. Since rain is affecting it and making it work this however does lead me one direction that there is a poor connection at the sensors or harness which the moisture i n the air is helping to complete. I would check the pins in the harness connectors as well as at the sensors and see if any are rusted or show signs or arcing. You may want to seal the pins in each connector with some di-electric grease to see if this helps.
