A power surge damage my treadmill even though a surge

a power surge damage my treadmill even though a surge protector was in use. everything works but the motor. i think it's the power board.
JA: What's the exact make and model of the treadmill?
Customer: pftl3133 proform crosswalk 325i
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: it's been a few years. In reading the service paper, it looks like the LEDs are lit. Tried the reset button. Don't know what else to check.
