I am Pete, and I'll be happy to assist with your question today.
E04 indicates a relay error.
It could be caused by a loose wiring connection - test for continuity throughout your wiring harness and eliminate the possibility of a bad connection.
If that doesn't help, then open the cover and locate the motor control board (has a metal frame) with the treadmill plugged in and safety key on/in manually push the belt and see if there is a blinking light on the board. If there isn't check the speed sensor for proper alignment. It is usually located off the back of the motor or near the front roller pulley. if it is blinking do the following:# ***** a 12-18 volt dc battery fully charged(like one from a cordless drill)# ***** sure it is fully charged, because it won't work if not# ***** the + and - to the motor red is + and black is -# ***** the motor turns slowly your motor is ok, if not the motor is bad and would need replaced# ***** the motor is ok then your motor controller(the board with the metal) is malfunctioning and would need replaced.
Let me know how you get on...
