Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question. This requires silicone lubricant. (Grease lubricant, if used, will damage the belt severely.) Silicone lubricant of a type specifically meant for treadmill belts. Also it will require an Allen wrench, e.g. the one included originally with the treadmill. The silicone 'oil' required can be bought at this page:https://www.johnsonfit.com/accessories(Johnson Fitness is the site one gets when one tries to access Horizonfitness.com these days.) Loosen both rear roller bolts with the Allen wrench, to make the running belt slack. Ten turns should be enough. Then apply the silicone oil, in a zigzag pattern, to only the 'underside' of the belt, do not apply the oil to the surface you actually run upon. About half the bottle should be used. Then re-tighten the two bolts with the Allen wrench, as much or as many turns as you just loosened them. Then reset the LUBE BELT message by holding down both the Speed+ and the STOP button for at least 5 to 7 seconds.Do not get on the machine yet! allow it to run at 3 m.p.h. for 3 minutes unused to apply oil evenly. Then run on it for 5 minutes, and after that wipe any excess oil off with a damp cloth. If this answers your question fully, please rate my answer. Thanks.
