Hi there,

Sorry for the delay!

Is the resistance stuck on the highest or lowest level?

What have you tried so far?

Several different factors can cause the resistance on your elliptical machine to get stuck at the lowest level.

If the power source is not at full capacity, the resistance may stop working.

The wire between the resistance controls -- either the console or the tension knob -- and the motor can break. If the drive belt becomes loose, the resistance may slip or not work at all, even when you turn it on to the highest setting.

Expert:  Pete replied 12 months ago.

Firstly, check the machine's power source. Make sure the batteries are new and have full capacity. If the batteries are weak, the console may light up, but the resistance motor won't work.

If it is ok then the drive belt may have slipped off or needs to be retensioned.

Customer: replied 12 months ago.
It is connected to the electriciy with its adapter.
Customer: replied 12 months ago.
how do I get to the drive belt?
Customer: replied 12 months ago.
are you gone for another 12 hours?
Expert:  Pete replied 12 months ago.

You will need to remove its cover by removing some screws and then prising the plastic cover off.

(for some reason I am not getting any notification when you reply, so I have to keep checking back on this page, sorry!)

Customer: replied 12 months ago.

Customer: replied 12 months ago.

Expert:  Pete replied 12 months ago.

One moment, I will check for a diagram

Expert:  Pete replied 12 months ago.

I cannot find any service manual or diagram for this particular machine.

Expert:  Pete replied 12 months ago.

Can you see the screws around the edge of the cover?

Customer: replied 12 months ago.
are you refering to the big wheel area
Expert:  Pete replied 12 months ago.

Yes, the disc area.

I have just found a diagram in the user manual - see pages 30 and 31 here:

Customer: replied 12 months ago.
I see no screws, I can unwind the whheel to rais or lower it but see no screws
Expert:  Pete replied 12 months ago.

Can you see on page 30 of the user manual how the cover is held in place?

Expert:  Pete replied 12 months ago.

There is quite a bit of work in this if you want to attempt it yourself, and it can be challenging if you have not done this type of repair work previously.

Alternatively, let me know your zip code and I can recommend a repairer in your area.
