how do I test the motor on my vision fitness t9600hrt treadmill?
Optional Information: Make: vision fitness Model: t9600hrt treadmill Already Tried: cover off. Had burning smell. Tread and belt look good. It's either the board or the motor. How do I test the motor?
If you mark the motor wires first, then unhook them from the board. You need a 18 volt drill battery from one of your cordless drills or tools. Then hold the wires firmly onto the terminals on the side of the battery and power the motor. If the motor runs, it's ok. I would open the cover on the motor and check the motor brushes and make sure they're not too short. Should be at least 1/2" long.
