i have a freemotion XTC recumbent bike. the display does not work....it lights up but can not read the number, can not activate the different resistence levels, can not turn on the cooling fan.
Optional Information: Make: freemotion XTC Model: SFEX13809 Already Tried: 1 - examined the wiring; appears OK 2 - tested the power adapter...6v 3 - looked at the reed switch...seems ok
The powerboard inside the console is malfunctioning and the console will need replaced. Here is a link to the replacement part.
the bike has hardly been used. i find it hard to believe the answer is what you gave.
is there a way to test the console? verses just replace it.
were you going to give me any more feedback?
i was expecting a more thorough answer verses 'just that the console needs to be replaced'.
There are no schematics for the power boards inside the consoles. Therefore I can't give you values to test the components. These are throw away boards, thats why there are no internal parts sold for these units. I am sorry for the limited answer, but what I have told you is the truth.
