I have a pro-form 650e and the incline feature is no longer functional. When the voltage is checked on the incline motor leads both the red and black show 120v to ground at the same time.
Disconneted the control panel plug.
If only the red or black lead is connected to the motor it functions normally except that it does not stop at he end of the rack as it should and continues to try to run.
Replace the incline motor the power block is bad and the only way to get that part is to replace the motor.
Is that true even if the 120v is across the red to white and black to white connections when they are not connected to the incline motor? In other words, is there always 120 volts on both the red and black wires and the power block determines whether the incline moves up or down.
Yes there is voltage present. The switch is within the powerblock.
