My right footbed is creaking loudly; my husband has tightened the bolts and lubricated it. Any suggestions? Thank you.
remove the disc and tighten the crank arm. This is usually where noises come from.
Uh, the disc? Not sure what that is and don't see a reference to such a part in the manual. If you're talking about the big round thing in the front, that's not where the noise is coming from--it's coming from the pedal. Thanks.
Could it be coming from the silver pans under the wheels? I have seen these crack and make noise before.
No, I actually put my foot way back on the pedal today and the noise stopped, even when I moved my foot forward again. Now, however, the pedal sits 1/2-3/4" lower than the left pedal. How do we adjust this? Thank you.
There are no adjustments on the pedals so you must have a cracked or broken pedal arm. It may be broken bushings where the retaining bolt goes through the pedal arm to attach it to the crank arm.Check all the welds closely.
It's just weird--we can't find any weak/broken welds or loose bolts, but also see that the offending pedal tilts back at the bottom of its rotation, while the other pedal stays level or maybe tilts slightly forward. Do I just give up?
If it is tilting back I woudl replace the pedal or bracket, whichever is giving.
