EXP 1000. Track stopped turning while I was using it, also smell of burning. I tested the motor by Using a 12 volt motorcycle battery to bypass the circuit board and motor turns and turns walking belt also, slow and steady about 1 mile per hour. Does not seem to have alot of power this way however, as the track speed bogs when I walk on the track while using the motorcycle battery to by pass the circuitry.
Aside from that, Power to display works. Drive belt seems OK and is not slipping. Walking belt turns freely when turned manually. I don't know what to look for on the circuit boards. Red lights on both circuit boards do light up when unit is plugged in and 'speed' and 'start' are selected on the display screen. Any help would be appreciated. Mark
Your motor controller has failed and will need replaced. You can get replacements on ebay or at fitnessrepairparts.com you can test the controller output voltage where the motor wires hook up to. There should be at least 90 vdc when start is pressed.
When you say:
>> Your motor controller has failed and will need replaced.<<
Do you mean the motor control board will need to be replaced? Just want to make sure. thanks
Yes that's correct!
