Hi I have a colt SAA 44-40 don't know if it's the real deal, barrel is clean with no logo like " colt frontier six shooter. Pat looks correct in the rt place # ***** ***** what can I look for to make sure gun is not a duplicate black powder. What are the real signs of authenticity thank you

No colt name I can see what so ever, patina looks right with nice age but no colt sign any where, did it wear off the barrel looking hard under mag class...

It could have in fact been worn off the barrel, or removed by someone...do you have any photos of the gun?
