Thank you for using Just Answer!
My name is ***** ***** I'll be glad to help you.
1. I need to know any other markings on the gun, including taking the barrels off and looking at the "watertable," which is the part of the frame that was covered by the barrels before you took them off.
2. Also, if you can attach photos showing the full gun on each side, that would help in identification of the model number as well.
Thanks. Can you also attach some photos?
Great! I'll keep an eye out for them.
Have the first one - thanks!
Hmmm - only one is posted above. After you upload you do have to then attach them...
Yes, still working on this - thanks.
OK - that is a J. Steven Springfield Model 315 side-by-side shotgun.
Let me see what I can do to find an approximate date of manufacture... Back in a little bit.
The date is probably around the late 1920s or early 1930s. Exact dates cannot be determined because factory records were lost.
As far as the choke, you'll have to measure the muzzle size. Take a ruler and measure the diameter inside the barrel and let me know what each is.
I'm going to mark this question so you can rate it my answer.
