Thank you for using Just Answer!

My name is ***** ***** I'll be glad to help you.

1. I need to know any other markings on the gun, including taking the barrels off and looking at the "watertable," which is the part of the frame that was covered by the barrels before you took them off.

2. Also, if you can attach photos showing the full gun on each side, that would help in identification of the model number as well.

Ok....on the "watertable" I see "E27454"
on the underside, opposite end of where the trigger guard is, i see a 22 inside a circle
on the underside of the barrels, near the tang (I think that's what it's called) is stamped B

did you receive any more of the photos?
Expert:  Philip Van Cleave replied 1 year ago.

Yes, still working on this - thanks.

Expert:  Philip Van Cleave replied 1 year ago.

OK - that is a J. Steven Springfield Model 315 side-by-side shotgun.

Let me see what I can do to find an approximate date of manufacture... Back in a little bit.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
sounds good... and if I can bother you for chokes
Expert:  Philip Van Cleave replied 1 year ago.

The date is probably around the late 1920s or early 1930s. Exact dates cannot be determined because factory records were lost.

As far as the choke, you'll have to measure the muzzle size. Take a ruler and measure the diameter inside the barrel and let me know what each is.
