Smith & Wesson Model 39 was the first double-action semi-automatic

Customer Question

Smith & Wesson Model 39 was the first double-action semi-automatic pistol produced in the United States. Blue Book values for the Model 39-2 alloy frame made from 1970 through 1982 (what a dealer would offer you, a collector might offer more):
I want to buy a new one right out of the new blue box with brown oil paper. I owned one in the 1971, and I loved it. Please help me purchase this gun before I spend my money on the same gun somewhere else.
