I received a 22 LR Bolt Action Rifle from my Aunt whose husband

Customer Question

I received a 22 LR Bolt Action Rifle from my Aunt whose husband recently died. We have been unable to find the magazine clip. The gun has Browning Arms Company St. Louis Mo & Montreal P.Q. stamped on the barrel. Also has Made in Belgium on it. Also has Patent Pending on it. The bolt pulls straight back and forward to load and unload. Not like any of my other bolt actions. I would like to order a couple 10 shot clips for this 22 and save it as it was my uncle's. Maybe if I take it apart from the stock I will find a model or serial number on it? Thanks Doug in *****, *****a.

Hi,Your rifle is a Browning T-Bolt. Magazines can be purchased from Brownells or Midway. Browning also sells them, but they are $30 more than the other 2 places. The magazine is only made in 10 round versions.http://www.brownells.com/magazines/rifle-magazines/magazines/t-bolt-22lr-10rd-magazine-prod71533.aspx?avs|Make~~Model_1=Browning__T-Bolthttp://www.midwayusa.com/product/970701/browning-magazine-browning-t-bolt-double-helix-22-long-rifle-10-round-polymer-clear?cm_vc=ProductFinding I hope this helps you,Tom

There is also a 5 or 10 round metal magazine for guns made between 1965 and 1974. It looks like a standard magazine, not the rotary type. http://www.triplek.com/Products/id/38/grp/412/prd/543/http://www.triplek.com/Products/id/38/grp/412/prd/544/ I can date the gun for you by the serial number. Western Gun Parts should also have the mags, you need to call to order, they are not set up for online ordering. They are in Canada.http://www.westerngunparts.com/
