Good morning,

Thank you for requesting me. Who is the manufacturer for these derringers? Does the case indicate a model name or any other info?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Butler is the manfu. of these derringers and the case is a mahagony "plain" outside box w/ brass hinges and latch

Ok, very good. Thank you. Can I assume that the guns are unfired, or have they been fired?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

they have been fired once or twice at New Year by my Mother and Father

The Butler Assoc. Inc. Single Shot Derringer cased set came in .22 Short caliber only, had a side pivoting Thuer action, various metal finishes and grips, including wood and mother-of-pearl, and a spur trigger. The guns used the same parts as Colt's Lord & Lady derringers, and came either cased and uncased with a B prefix serialization.

For your Butler Derringer cased set, the following current values apply (from the Blue Book of Gun Values). Retail prices may be 20% higher:

New in box/perfect --100% condition - $375

Mint condition --------98% condition - $325
