how much is a smith & wesson snub nose 38 revolver worth? it is in good condition and is approximately 50 years old.

The Smith & Wesson Model 12 is also called the .38 Military & Police Airweight. It is a double-action 6-shot revolver chambered in .38 S&W Special. It is an alloy K frame with a round or square butt. The finish can be either blue or nickel and the grips are checkered walnut with S&W medallions. Barrel lengths are 2, 4, 5, or 6 inches. They were made from 1952 through 1986.Based on the serial number provided, your gun was made in 1960.Retail values (add $50 for a nickel finish):Excellent: $420-$600Very Good: $270-$330Good: $215-$240I hope this helps.Philip
