Thank you for using Just Answer!

The Colt Police Positive revolver was manufactured from 1905-1947. It is externally the same as the New Police with the addition of a positive locking feature and with two new chamberings: .38 New Police and .38 Smith & Wesson. They come with either a 2-1/2, 4, or 6 inch barrel and can be blued or have a nickel finish, with the nickel finish adding 15% to 20% to the values below. Earlier guns have hard rubber grips, while guns made after 1923 have checkered walnut grips.

Retail values if the last patent date on the gun is 1905:

Excellent: $660-$960
Very Good: $330-$420
Good: $270-$300
Fair: $190-$245
Poor: $180

I hope this helps. If you are satisfied with my answer, please click the "accept" button. Thanks!

WHAT ABOUT STAG HAND GRIPS IHEARD SOME CAME STOCK WITH THEM ,AND DO THEY ADD VALUE TO THE GUN?

Customer replied 292 days and 23 hours ago.

I WAS TOLD THAT SOME 1909'S CAME STOCK WITH STAG HAND GRIPS IF SO OR NOT DOES THAT HELP WITH THE VALUE OF THE GUN?

No real added value, but if they are chipped, they will reduce the value some.
