Hi,

On Model R6721, serial numbers below BD000134 are pre-ban Blue Label. There were only 134 sold commercially in 1994. It is an M4 flat top with a 16" 1-9 twist heavy barrel with a flash hider and bayonet lug. It has an A2 front sight, 4 position stock and a removable carry handle. Guns with serial number 134 and below are valued at 2.5 times more than serial number 135 and above. A pre-ban in 90% condition is valued at $2000 and above number 135 are valued at $850.

I hope this helps you,

Tom

According to the blue book of gun values. author S,P. Fjestad the model 6721 is a blue lable pre ban manufactured in 1994 prior to the ban in sept 13 1994 the first 134 that went out were considered green lable pre bans. the lower valued 6721's are the one's that did not get stamped law enforsement/ military export only. Thanks, Ernest

Hi,

The way I understand it, (I just read through the Blue Book again) is the last Green label guns were made in 1989. Model 6721 Colts to serial number 134 are Blue Label pre ban and after 134 are Blue Label post ban. Green label guns were produced until 1989 and then it went to Blue Label. Blue label from 1989 to Sept. 11, 1994 are pre ban.

The 6721 tactical carbine was only produced the one year 1994 only according to colt and prior to yhe ban. gov/ carbine is still being made as the sporter and H bar. so according to colt the 6721 tactical carbine is a blue lable pre ban. as these were manufactured prior to the ban sept 1994 and only produced in 1994. Thanks, Bud
