What is the value of a Smith and Wesson garter gun, one shot for 22 short bullet?
Already Tried: nothing
Hi,
S&W made a couple of different single shot guns. Does your gun look like a semi-auto or revolver? What is the barrel length? Is it a single action or can it be fired in double action?
Tom
Another way that I can identify which gun you have is by the trigger guard. Is it held in with a pin at the rear of it or is it part of the frame? What is the serial number?
Trigger guard is part of the whole frame...I cannot find a serial number Jane
Your gun is a 3rd Model Single Shot made between 1909 and 1923. There were 6,949 produced. The finish can be blued or nickel plated with checkered hard plastic or wood grips. The values are:
excellent-$1050, very good-$875, good-$650, fair-$450, poor-$275.
I hope this helps you,

Tom, the gun is metal, the same grey all over and has no grips just checkered metal same as rest of gun that are made like grips. the gun is all one piece of metal except for hammer and barrel.
When the blueing on a gun fades, it is a gray or gray-brown color. Does your gun look like either of the following guns?
